Come with us on a sunlit journey to the Blue City

I have always been inspired by Rajasthan,” says Farah, who spent many of her growing years accompanying her father and filmmaker Sanjay Khan on the sets of his grand, historical epics in the region. From a young age, her imagination was fired by its opulent costumes, regal forts and larger-than-life palaces. The golden vastness of Jaisalmer, the bustling heart of camel country in Bikaner, the sprawling ramparts of Jaipur, the intimidating forts of Jodhpur. This last one, the Blue City, has inspired a whole range of crockery in Farah’s new lifestyle collection.

A fluttering indigo flag at the edge of a sea of sand. A skyline of rugged forts and stately palaces. A land of gracious hosts and sumptuous feasts. L’affaire Jodhpur is an ode to the spirit of the desert city, as the Mughal penchant for elegance and naturalism collides with the Rajput affinity for colour and grandeur, reflecting the golden age of art and architecture that was patronized by royal courts. A song in blue and gold.

Crafted in fine bone china and plated with 24kt gold, the line is designed and made completely in India. It carries the precious Farah Khan brand monogram, Aayat, whose proud arches and lines call to mind the royal architecture of Rajasthan. Each piece further carries Farah’s signature, as a stamp of its world-class quality.

This limited-edition collection consists of tea sets, espresso cups and saucers, coffee mugs, side plates and bowls. Each set comes packaged sumptuously in thoughtfully designed monogrammed boxes, making them the perfect gift idea for the wedding and festive seasons.
