CREATING WITH A CONSCIENCE
Farah Khan believes in the essential interconnectedness of humanity and the spirit of the universe. We are all a part of each other’s lives, we are a collective swell and surge of energy, and we have so much to teach and learn from one another. It is in our very nature to take care of each other, it is what makes us human and it is what gives us purpose. This sense of community, coming together of varied cultures and traditions, holding on to and holding up those we love — is the heart and soul of the brand.
Help is always there when you least expect it, kindness is to be found in the unlikeliest places. When we reach out a hand to someone, they reach inside us to touch the very core of us. We recognize the power and transformation of this, and the ability and responsibility that every one of us carries. As a company, we want to give back much more than we take, to support the bravery and resilience that exists all around us, and be part of the change we want to see.
Ethics is one of the four pillars of the brand, the very foundation upon which the company is built, and it speaks to our commitment to creating with a conscience. Through ethical responsibility, environmental accountability, human rights, and fair working conditions, we pledge to do our part in making the planet a kinder, more compassionate, and more connected place. The way it perhaps once was, and the way it was always meant to be.
PHILANTHROPY
The joy and power of giving
Farah Khan has always been committed to giving back to society, helping those who are less fortunate, and supporting environmental endeavors to safeguard our planet. Here are some of the ways that she has done this over the years:
- Farah has worked with the Helping Hands Foundation and Tata Memorial Hospital to support children undergoing cancer treatment and to provide rehabilitation facilities to their families.
- A piece of our fine jewellery was auctioned off in support of the Smile Foundation, an organisation that provides grassroots support to underprivileged children in India.
- Proceeds from the sales of Chord of Love, a charm bracelet designed and crafted by Farah Khan, were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help fulfil the dreams of children with critical illnesses.
- Farah participated in a fashion show with Anju Modi as part of the Astitwa Awards hosted by the Archana Foundation, a Mumbai-based charity organisation that works on local issues.
- We have supported the International Antarctica Expedition, an initiative to spread awareness about climate change, and support the Antarctica Treaty, which currently protects the ice-covered continent from environmental exploitation.
